At that time, the earth was formless and empty, surrounded by darkness. The Spirit of God moved over the waters, bringing the first sign of life and order.<\/p><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"547\">God said, <em data-renderer-mark=\"true\">\u201cLet there be light,\u201d<\/em> and light came into existence. He separated the light from the darkness, calling the light <strong data-renderer-mark=\"true\">Day<\/strong> and the darkness <strong data-renderer-mark=\"true\">Night<\/strong>. This marked the completion of the first day.<\/p><hr role=\"presentation\" \/><h3 data-renderer-start-pos=\"745\">\u00a0<\/h3><h3 data-renderer-start-pos=\"745\"><strong data-renderer-mark=\"true\">Day 2: The Creation of the Heavens<\/strong><\/h3><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"781\">On the second day, God created an expanse to separate the waters above from the waters below.
